Ayurvedic Treatment for Metrorrhagia at Ayusya Ayurveda
In Ayurveda, metrorrhagia can be associated with imbalances in the doshas, particularly Vata and Pitta. Treatment aims to balance these doshas and strengthen the reproductive system. Ayurvedic approaches include:
1. Ayurvedic Formulations:
- Ashoka (Saraca indica): Known for its uterine tonic properties, helps in regulating menstrual flow.
- Lodhra (Symplocos racemosa): Used for its anti-inflammatory and astringent properties.
- Shatavari (Asparagus racemosus): Helps in balancing hormones and strengthening the reproductive system.
- Triphala: A combination of three fruits that helps in detoxifying and balancing the body.
2. Dietary Recommendations:
- Eat a balanced diet rich in iron and other essential nutrients to combat anemia.
- Include foods that balance Vata and Pitta, such as cooked vegetables, whole grains, and healthy fats.
- Avoid spicy, oily, and processed foods.
3. Lifestyle Modifications:
- Regular exercise, such as yoga and walking, to improve circulation and reduce stress.
- Adequate sleep and stress management practices like meditation and pranayama (breathing exercises).
4. Panchakarma (Detoxification Therapies):
- Basti (Enema therapy): Helps in balancing Vata.
- Virechana (Purgation therapy): Used for detoxification and balancing Pitta.
5. External Treatments:
- Abhyanga (Oil massage): Helps in calming Vata.
- Sitz baths with herbal decoctions to soothe and heal the reproductive organs.
